Bell Luna (Mystic) Powers is an interdisciplinary artist based in Philadelphia, PA. They were born and raised in Northern New Jersey, experimenting with lens-based practices during childhood. Powers continued this experimentation in Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University, where they received their BFA in Photography with a minor in Art History.

Powers works as the lead printer at Philadelphia based film and digitizing lab, PhotoLounge. They specialize in fine art printing, photo restoration, and bridging the gap between the digital and archival worlds.

In their own practice, Powers works primarily in film with a focus in medium format and color reversal film. Their work aims to retreat back to the mechanics of creation, seen in the use of tangible image making and alternative photographic printing processes. Powers uses the relations of these materials to capture what they call “the divine ephemera”; a gratitude for small moments, softness, and proof of being.
